A Church with a Rich History
Start your story together at St. Stephen & the Incarnation Episcopal Church, located in Columbia Heights. We are a church of many historical firsts: the first parish to integrate in the Washington Episcopal Diocese (1957); the first church to ordain women to the priesthood (1974), before ordination was approved by the greater church; and the first holy union of a same sex couple (1976). You too can be a part of our amazing journey through faith. Choose our beautiful sanctuary for your day!
Flexible space
Capacity is 200 for the sanctuary. SSI will provide set up for up to 120 movable chapel chairs (additional seating available upon request), microphones/sound system and security. A “green room” is also available prior to the wedding.
Rate
Our rate is $1,100 to book the space for a total of 3 hours (set up, ceremony and photos), plus an additional 1 hour for rehearsal prior to the ceremony (usually the day before). You supply your own officiant, however we can provide musicians and a reception space for an extra fee.
