  • 8am Holy Eucharist Rite I, the Rev. Sam Dessórdi Leite preaches and presides.

  • 9:15am Forum.

  • 10:10am Sharing the Gospel with Loaves and Fishes.

  • 10:30am Holy Eucharist Rite II, the Rev. Sam Dessórdi Leite preaches and presides.

  • 5:30pm Misa Alegría (Bilingual service). The Rev. Sam Dessórdi Leite preaches and presides.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Annual meeting and vestry nominations

The Annual Meeting is where we discuss the business of the parish and elect our vestry members. This year’s Annual Meeting will be Saturday, May 18 at 5:30pm, with a dinner to follow. Please mark your calendar!

At this year’s meeting, we will elect candidates for 6 positions: the Senior and Junior Wardens, the Clerk, and three new members of the 9-person Vestry. The Nominating Committee (Sandra Moore, Tricia Davis-Muffet, Ty Holden, Walter Montoya, and Atiba Pertilla) are currently seeking candidates for these positions. Please let us know if you are interested in serving!

Help needed to distribute Eucharistic Bread and Wine (Eucharistic Ministers) During Holy Communion

Current and aspiring Eucharistic Ministers are invited to attend a forum on the meaning and foundation of what it means to share the Body and Blood of Jesus in communion with one another. The theological background and training will take place on Saturday, February 2, from 10-11:30am. February 2 is the feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. We will have a liturgy for the feast with training to follow at 10:30.

Liturgy Retreat

Please, safe the date of our next Liturgy Retreat, March 2, 2019, 10am in Saint Stephen and the Incarnation. More information will be shared soon.

The Way of Love this week

We began week 2 of The Way of Love-Practices for a Jesus Centered Life. Bishop Mariann has recorded a reflection as a podcast for each of the 7 practices. This week we will listen to Bishop Mariann's reflection on prayer.

Sunday forums are about sharing your interests, your work, your passions with the parish. Forums are a means for building community as we get to know one another and learn and grow in our faith. Common Threads Intergenerational Worship, Tuesdays in February

Common Threads is an intergenerational series based on life stories. Join it for a month of weekly conversation, reflection, and worship around themes of joy, sorrow, hope, and change beginning on Tuesday, February 5 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m at Seabury at Springvale Terrace (8505 Springvale Rd Silver Spring, MD 20910).
