Loaves & Fishes meal program marks 50 years

Loaves and Fishes, our hot meal program, was founded in 1968, which means this year is its 50th anniversary! To celebrate 50 years of service in the Columbia Heights neighborhood, the program has several projects and events planned. We are excited to celebrate the program, its guests and the volunteers who have helped develop and influence the program throughout the years. The videos below are a series called the Loaves and Fishes Oral History Project. The goal of this project is to collect and preserve stories and insights from people who have seen the program grow and change during different times since its founding.
