Using the Church For Meetings

The church is directly accessible by people with disabilities. 

St. Stephen's Church is pleased to provide the use of its rooms at low cost for events that provide a benefit to our neighborhood, our city, and our world. For such events, we require reiumbursement for any costs we incur for cleaning and security (and we have the final word about whether cleaning or security are required for any event). In addition, we request a donation for the use of space, and we recommend an amount of $25-50 per hour.

Things to know about the church:
-pew seating capacity is approximately 200 people; another 300 can stand or sit on the floor
-normally has 50 or so chairs that can be set out for special events
-lighting is not great
-sound system for voice amplification only, and used only by special permission
-not heated or cooled during the week, although some climate control is possible for an extra donation
-pews are old and weak and must not be moved
-the church is used for art exhibitions by St. Stephen's Arts Collaborative

Lastly, it is our worship space. It contains regligious symbols. And the church must be used with appropriate respect.
