Among the arts programs at St. Stephen's Church are our resident company, Lean and Hungry Theater, and our Arts Collaborative and St. Brigid's Threaders.

Arts Collaborative

St. Stephen's parishioners formed an Arts Collaborative in the Spring of 2006. The Collaborative has mounted a number of exhibits in the church, sponsored a community sing with Dr. Ysaye Barnwell, and worked with the church Vestry and liturgy planning group to include the arts in our liturgy.

In the Fall of 2006, the Arts Collaborative presented an exhibit of photography by St. Stephen's parishioners entitled Domini Est Terra ("The Earth is the Lord's").

The Arts Collaborative's first exhibit, on display during Lent 2006, featured works by parishioners and guest artists in a variety of media.

The Threaders of St. Brigid

St. Brigid's Threaders is a group of parishioners and friends who meet every Monday evening to knit prayer shawls, pray together, and build community. Their prayer shawls have been given to people in the parish and outside of the parish who are ill. St. Brigid's welcomes new and experienced knittters, and those who want to learn. To get meeting information, please contact the church office.

Some of the Threaders, at work.
